Keep your other contact lists up to date
Save adjusters, case managers, paralegals, providers, insurance companies and medications once, then pick them instead of retyping.

Who can do this: Everyone on your team
Steps
- Open Contacts in the menu and choose a list, for example Adjusters.

- Click the add button at the top right: Add Adjuster, Add Case Manager, Add Paralegal, Add Provider, Add Company or Add Medication.
- Fill in the details (see below) and click the add button at the bottom of the window.
- To change an entry, click its row, edit, and click Update.
- To stop using an entry, click its trash icon. It stays on the list as Inactive; click the icon again to make it active.
What each list holds
Adjusters and Case Managers: First Name and Last Name (required), Company, address, Phone, Fax, Email and Notes.
Paralegals: first and last name (required), Firm, Associated Attorney (choosing one fills in their firm), phone, fax, email and notes.
Providers: first and last name, Specialty, Practice/Clinic, address, Office Phone, fax, email, NPI Number, License Number and notes.
Insurance Companies: Company Name (required), Contact Person, Policy Prefix (for example BCBS), address, phone, fax, email, Website, and a Claims Department section with Claims Mailing Address, Claims Phone and Claims Fax.
Medications: Medication Name (required), Generic Name, Dosage, Frequency, Category and notes. It's a reference list for your team.
Where the lists are used
Active adjusters, case managers, paralegals, providers and insurance companies are offered in pickers on referrals, patient files and forms (for example a form's Case Manager Name field), so nobody retypes them. Inactive entries aren't offered.
Referral sources and law firms have their own pages: see Manage referral sources and Manage your law firms.
If something goes wrong
- The paralegal window says “No attorneys in system. Add attorneys first under Contacts > Attorneys.”
- Attorneys are now under Contacts > Referral Sources. Add them there, then come back.
